Hixih Group cared about Yushu disaster areas, targeted funding 149 Tibetan students
On May 30th, in the "Qilu Evening News" at the meeting of "Shandong brother" Love Student Action "June 1st", on behalf of the Chairman Niu Yishun, Vice President Wang Weiqin announced, the Group would fund 149 Tibetan students of Yushu disaster areas to solve their practical life and learning difficulties to help them tide over the difficulties and succeed in their studies.
For a long time, the company has been actively committed to social responsibility. Chairman pointed out many times: after enterprises being bigger and stronger, the social responsibility has become the primary responsibility. This social responsibility doesn’t only refer to continuously strengthen its self-building, enhance core competitiveness and achieve healthy, stable, sustainable development, to promote industry and local economic and social development progress, but also contribute to society. Every year the Group will spend a significant number of funds for social welfare services. In 2009, the Group spent 30 million yuan setting up a "Hixih Charity Fund". In 2010, in the "Forbes China Charity List", Chairman is at No. 24.
In the middle of this month, after seeing "Shandong brother" Love Student Actions of "Qilu Evening News", Chairman in the first schedule got in touch "Qilu Evening News" to express the active strong desire to help poor student. "Qilu Evening News" attaches great importance to determine Yushu being the funding object of Hixih Group. With the great help of "Xining Evening News", the Group focused on the Third Complete Primary School of Yushu.
The Third Complete Primary School of Yushu is the biggest primary school in Qinghai province, about 3100 students, and among these students 99% students are Tibetan migrants. In order to protect the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang three major rivers, the Tibetan people living in the land ended their nomadic life to settle in Yushu. Because of the lack of other skills to earn a living, the family doesn’t have a fixed source of livelihood, so the life is very difficult. On April 14, 2010, the magnitude 7.1 earthquake claimed the lives of their love and destroyed their hard-built homes. In this earthquake, the students of Third Complete Primary School of Yushu lost a number of their parents. At this time, they need someone to lend a helping hand to help them.
In order to spend money on the students who need it most, on May 26th, the Group officer Yan Feng and his party and the reporters from "Qilu Evening News" and "Xining Evening News", went to the disaster areas to conduct field investigations in Yushu. They went to school, into the tent, and asked residents to learn more about the relief of family situations and the cost situation of school students, and to discuss the support programs with the schoolmaster.
Based on the investigation, the Group decided to fund 149 students of this school, to provide 100 yuan each month for every student, lasting to their graduation from the primary school. Yushu Third Complete Primary School and "Xining Evening News" will supervise instead of Hixih Group to make sure this fund can be used on every student.
For the further understanding of Hixih Group, 3 poor students from this primary school came to Jinan to take part in the "Shandong brother" Love Student Actions. They are companied by their teachers from Qinghai to Jining. On the way to Jinan, they arrived in Beijing, and finally they saw Tian An Men. During in Jinan, the students took part in the ceremony, visited Shandong Science Museum and Baotu Spring, and as the caddie to participate in the opening ceremony of Shandong and Henan of CSL.
