In the morning of April 28th, lively voice were heard on Hixih Yinhe Avenue, loud cheers and sustained applause rose one after another, activities of tug of war and long-distance race were being held to celebrate May Day in a warm and tension atmosphere.
In order to celebrate May Day - the International labor Day, enrich staff’s cultural life, enhance staff’s physical fitness during exercise, cultivate their sentiment in entertainment, show good spirit and strengthen the exchange and communication between departments, Hixih group meticulously organized activities of tug of war and long-distance race. More than 800 staff attended the competition. Hixih Chairman Niu Yishun also participated in the activities of the whole journey to cheer for players. Chairman Niu issued trophies for the top 3 men players and the top 2 women players of tug of war.

The tug of war competition was divided into men and women group, the men’s group had eight teams, combined to four groups; the women's groups had four teams, combined to two groups, each team has had fifty people. The group office also particularly ordered overlength twine rope. The competition was divided into the preliminaries, semi-finals and finals, adopting elimination system. Before started, the grand confrontation atmosphere has emerged. With the referee's whistle, the intense competition formally started. All team members’ feet stood heavily against the ground, center of gravity lowered, tightly grabbed the rope and tried their best to pull the rope. Both parties were well-matched in strength, they tried with one heart and one mind and created many climaxes. The women's competition is also splendid, all players were all screwed up and went to all lengths. The audience yelled and cheered for players. In the competition, each team showed solidarity, indomitable fighting spirit, both showed the level and the style. The scene of the entire competition was spectacular and the atmosphere warm. After fierce competition, eventually, Pirelli PCR/market quality development won the first of the men's group, Pirelli TBR/R&D and Pirelli rubber mixing/logistics won the second and third place; Aneng team won the first place of women’s group, Pirelli PCR/mixing won the second and third place.

Women’s 2000 meters race and men’s 3000 meters race were carried out after the tug of war competition. With the firing of the starting gun, the athletes flied away from the starting point as rabbits, they actively raced each other and went to all lengths, against the clock. In the long-distance race, the players not only faced the physical test but also psychological test, the players regardless of the hot weather and severe physical consumption, struggling to sprint to the finishing line, when they reached to the end, struggling sweat, happiness tear mixed together; the encouraging scream and successful cheers mixed together. A total of nearly 20
